Maze solved but won't open.

Post by tedwasright »

I have solved many times but I'm worried I put it back together wrong. I've tapped until the cows came home but the pins won't release. Any ideas?

Keep the dots lined up and tap it with the label facing down. I suppose if you push on the shaft too much it might keep the pin from moving. The core should be correctly positioned but free to wiggle a little.

Rather than tapping a good way is to shake the pin loose (dots lined up and label facing down). If you need to tap it it shouldn't take more than a small sharp tap or two on your thigh, just try to make sure the pin isn't tight against the maze wall.

Still wont open. Is this what happens if you put the pins in the wrong holes?

Ive triedlall the above ideas. Very frustrated.

Thanks for your help, hoping for more suggestions.

Ok i have a suggestion :
When you reassemble any pin is good they are the same
They do however have different end 1 is round 1 as a taper but both are te same
The thing that might have occur in your case is that on the central draw bar that hold the certificate
The 2 hole for pins are slitly different so if you put the bigger one under the pin that hold the center and the smallest under the pin that travel the maze ... The central bar can become not enough aling with the maze preventing the pin to drop so try moving the center without the maze turning while keeping it dots aling and wiggling until the pin drop

The freezer also helped other to open jammed pin and you might want to try that Very cold

Hope it help
Cheers

Well I tried the freezer trick today and it didn't work. This sucks. Now its a waste of money.

Any new ideas would be welcomed, a Revomaze representative would be nice.

Can you reset it / get back to the maze? Or will the shaft not turn at all? If you can get back to the maze and still feel the walls etc then your pin just isn't dropping and the only thing that will make it is proper alignment and a good smack. Iv'e had my blue do the same thing a few times and it always ends up opening in the end.
