There are very different ways of mapping.
A lot of people start using a caliper or at least a ruler.

Use the serial number as a guide of how much did you turn the shaft, and for measuring how far did you pull.

There's a thread in the general forum titled "Mapping Challange". It discusses various ways to map these puzzles.

thanks but I still cant map accurately
as many people on this forum says its crucial to success you can understand me annoyance at my dismal attempts

I'm not asking for a whole map but can someone please post a small bit of one perhaps towards the start of the blue. This would really help

thanks

Crucial? I would disagree, I only mapped a small part of the Silver, all other mazes I solved without any mapping at all. I find repeating sections until you know them really well is the best method. However if you do feel the need to map the blue, accuracy is not essential. Really you can get away with very rough, not to scale maps until the bronze IMO.

Maps DO give you a different picture of the puzzle than doing it by memory. Some people find that useful, some not so much. I'm a part of the latter, I don't map much outside of memory. It's not a part of the puzzle solving that I enjoy.

its not necessarily to give you the answer... but more like a way to see things you may have missed
