Did you solve it the intended way Brassassin?

I kept wondering this myself. In fact, I still didn’t notice the dynamic part AFTER opening and looking to the core. Thought I was losing my mind. How could I not see this?
When showing the pictures of the core to Shane, the conclusion was that my core wasn’t a Mint core at all!
There was a green core inside, instead of mint. Super weird.

Hmmm that gives me an idea, selling a Surprise Revomaze, so you dont know what core is inside

I bought this off ebay. Was described as ‘new’, and indeed came still sealed in plastic and looking completely new. Still a strange surprise.
I contacted HQ and, even though I didn’t buy the puzzle from them, they were great about it, offering to send me the right core. I cannot say enough good things about their customer service. They are great!

What was on the serial number though?

Was a Mint serial nr: MT01039.

Very interesting story. If it had a mint serial number then obviously there was a mixup at HQ. No doubt that they will take care of you though and fix the problem!

I seem to remember that a while ago a revo was sold with a wrong engraving via the HQ in the factory outlet.

Got my replacement Mint core today.
