While the similarities are there, the main difference in puzzle design was the reset, and the quality of a Revo is significantly higher. I don't think it's really fair to compare the two.

Yes, clear sleeves are undeniably awesome, but I think it's safe to say that more projects are the last thing Revo HQ need at the moment. This is the kind of project that could be funded if a steady stream of orders were coming in for more mass produced designs.

In all honesty I am surprised they haven't already made a clear sleeve. They already have the blueprint for the metal sleeve, and I assume making a clear plastic one would be much cheaper.

I like the concept that I talked about solely as something for beginners. Something that is used as an intro to Revo. I have a hard time explaining to people what a Revo is, but If I could show them...this is a whole new ballgame. I mean if they like the idea, then they will get hooked like everyone else, and move on to the mazes they cannot see inside of. It has it's pro's and con's for sure. Just an idea though ;)

I don't know how often the nice clear sleeves that exist have been used to really open a revo.
I've been using the"minimal" version (standard acrylic tube and the pin/spring inside an external screw) for a long time now and the scratches on the acrylic surface (especially when using on bronze, silver and gold) add up so i had to replace the tubes.
So i believe an official version would not be usable for a long time.

Plastic cores should certainly help with the issue of scratches...

Great idea to color up the core so its much easier to show non-puzzlers the principle of revomazes !

Seems like there are two favored options here. As much as I like the idea of a clear sleeve I don't think that would be practical in this case. What about making it an unlimited Obsession V2 and then a limited Extreme (125 units?) for the collectors. I do wish an Extreme version of the Black V2 was produced...

Oops,
I didn't realize the drawbars are actually 305 Stainless Steel. :)
