R1 Copper !!!

The statement " They won’t be made here by Chris but will be a project for the engineers. " seems similar to the Black Revomazes.

The first black design was designed, made and presented to Chris as a gift from those at the first engineering company. Since Chris had no hand in it, he had to struggle with it as we have to with a new Revomaze. The design was a winner and Chris had ten more made and sold them as a limited edition. Later, the same design was used in the plastic obsession Revomaze lineup. When Chris stopped working with this company he was unable to offer this design anymore.

Chris found another engineering firm to help manufacture Revomazes. This gave birth to another " Black " design. This time it was only offered as a Obsession. Again, Chris no longer works with them and the design is now unavailable. It was also quite a nice design.

We now have another firm making Revomazes with Chris. The above quote seems to indicate a similar situation as the two different black designs. Unfortunately, as is often the case, the statement is somewhat ambiguous. All it says is that Chris will not have to make them on his machines. It does not specify who designs the maze or what the maze will look like.

This does make a difference to us. If Chris makes the design and just gives it to the firm to make, then it should be available in the future even if he no longer uses this firm. If, on the other hand, they do the design it may only be available as long as this present firm has a working relationship with Chris.

I hope that after losing 2 previous designs that Chris has made arraignments so it can be offered in the future independent of which company is making production Revomazes.

Thank god that it's being called Copper and not another Black Revomaze. We don't need more confusion about black Revomazes again.

RevoGirl has posted pictures of the new Copper, and it should be out in January. Looks great! About as difficult as Bronze you say? I wonder if it is static or dynamic.

The copper looks great in the photos! Nice and shiny and unlike real copper will not patina over time. I wonder if its possible to have a real copper sleeve..where repeated play will cause it to have a patina and antiquated/aged look? Just like cherry wood darkening over time.

Yeah! A real gold would be nice too!! Now that I think about it so would bronze and silver. Anyone willing to make them?
