No push or pull, but the shaft spins

Post by wilso092 »

My son received a Gunmetal revomaze for his birthday and spent several days enjoying it. At one point, he thought that he had solved it, but when he aligning the dots and tapped lightly, he couldn't pull the core out. Thinking that perhaps he needed to push inward and then out, he pushed the core back into the cylinder to the 'start' position. Now the core revolves approximately 265 degrees (almost three quarters around), but it will not push or pull. There seems to be no path forward, no maze to follow. It feels to me as though there are walls around the entire 265 degrees of rotation and a hard stop at either end of the 265 degrees.

Is this a normal trap? Has something internal to the puzzle broken? Did he make a mistake when he slid the core back in after aligning the dots?

Any help would be appreciated greatly.

Can you post or send me a picture of the puzzle? That will give an idea of where you are in the maze.

Sure, no problem. I can provide a short 20 sec. video of its movement if you like, as well.
