Re: R2 Mercury - Available to order

Post by 03SVTCobra »

Maybe gauging initial demand will help them see what they are getting in to. Say there are 50 voyagers but only 20 have the money to buy right now. That will give them an idea of how many they need to produce and give a realistic ship date. Being that they are produced by hand they will probably take longer if every voyager wants one now. I personally like to see what I am buying and am assuming they are all the same size and shape but why are we seeing Jupiter first if mercury is the first one released. Either way in excited and hope everything goes smooth. From what I understand Chris is excited too and I'm sure he only has the best intentions.

There were initially three names thrown around, Saturn, Jupiter and Mercury. First we weren't sure which the first will be. Then they released pictures of the prototype which was Jupiter, so I assumed that would be the first. But obviously Chris has got them all planned out and apparently Mercury will be the first. From there I assume they will go in the order they are closest to the sun (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune) in their respective Inner Solar System Collection and Outer Solar System Collection, plus Ceres and Pluto.

Again, only speculation :D

I thought it was said somewhere that Jupiter was the most complicated one which is why they used its design for the prototype to make sure that everything they wanted to do was feasible. I expect that it will be the last one in the series.

+1 stet. That's what I would think is the case. If the hardest can be made then it's all go for the rest. No point starting with the easiest and then standing still at no 4 because it's just impractical to produce.

Ordered mine as well! Good thing I was paying attention to my account status updates and looked around the store.. otherwise I wouldn't have known I could order. I would have simply waiting for some other email after yesterday's interest gauging email.

Ah well.. time to go to the stars!

You have to log into your store account in order to see it. Hence why we were updated to 'Voyager Status' in our profiles.

And Joseph just sent out an email too ;)
