Purple Entries

Post by ReVoRabbit »

Hey guys,
So I was wondering how many of us there are that in in the running for a free purple (because god knows i'm not dropping $9600 on a Revo) and how many tickets you've earned. Guess i'll start:

I'm in with 15 tickets (max)

I'm boycotting the lotto. I think the idea of leaving it up to chance (and money) is a big "screw you" to the loyal revomaze fanbase. I spent countless hours on these puzzles trying to increase my chances for the competition. I'm pretty sure I have the fastest bronze and silver opening times, so I was in great shape to EARN a purple maze.
Opening order:
BR 50h. Fast=28s
BK Obs 12h.
BL 25m. Fast=12s.
GR 3h.
AG 20h. Fast=1m56s
AU 70h.
RD 1h.
RD Obs 6h.
OR 20h.
LM 40h. Fast=2m12s
IN 16h.
AQ 15m.
TI 8h.

I think I would have had 14 entries:
#11 set
#25 set
Black
Red
Orange
Handmade
(I don't think my Ti would have counted)

By leaderboard positions I would have 5. Ah, I remember the thrill of getting spot #1 on the blue board... those were the days...

Maybe Chris should send a free Blue Pro to anyone who can open their Blu Regular in under 15 seconds and was in the top 10 to open a maze. :p Then see who can open up the Blue Pro.

The Blue Pro is made for speed demons. I just read Mr. Tea's latest time of 1:53 and I'm just flabbergasted. Having tried myself and not breaking 5 minutes I'm very impressed with his time. Now if he can do it twice as fast, he'll get a Purple too.

I'd love to see a video of him going that fast on the pro. For that matter any fast opening videos would be fun to watch. I know there are a few older ones on YouTube already.

I can understand your reaction to the change Thayneq. In the old contest my money was on you as a sure thing for getting to the finals and winning a Purple, perhaps winning the final too. If its any consolation, everyone I've talked to holds you in the highest regards when it comes to opening Revomazes. That won't change whether we have a live contest or not.

I wonder if owning a purple also counts?
Does anyone want to virtually buy my set (of 'only' 9) to increase their chances?
Sorry for the silly humor, I wish you all a lucky draw, and a new set of rules next week.
