By July the chances of surviving that many rounds with 15 numbers is less than 1 in 10. I'm thinking May or June. But as Joe said, if the right lotto numbers come up it could be over this Wednesday.

Too bad they didn't put a clause in that after round 10 every week (2 draws) or two (4 draws) you'd have to surrender 1 number to a minimum amount. Either way though, it's going to end and start over eventually.

How many people are still in?

Back around 3/14 there were 18 people still in the lottery. Since then, there have been at least 4 eliminated. I'd have to go through the posts to be sure. Most of those 18 haven't posted their status and probably don't use the poll. So the only answer I have is between 7 (poll) and 14 max.

I suspect that those who are still in all have most of their numbers the same as everyone else who's still in, that's why virtually the same group of people continue to advance, so long as there is even just one match...

As some people have mentioned, its going to take a long time before we see a winner....

Until the minimum number of numbers needed to match in every draw goes up, it's going to be a while. Right now, all you need is to have picked 8, 14, 36 and 48 to survive and that's after 16 sets of lotto numbers.

The odds of surviving 17 rounds with 15 numbers continues to dwindle to a 32% chance. At 21 rounds it's a 25% chance. At 34 rounds it's a 10% chance of surviving. That's more than double the number of rounds so far.

And yet it's still possible to be finished next round, go figure.
