While reading the 'London puzzle Shops' post and knowing how rare a good puzzle shop is I thought it would be good to have a place where we could swap good stores. Buying through the internet is a given but I do love walking around the 'Aladin's Cave' that is a good puzzle shop;

The shop is small but packed with interesting games and puzzles, the owner is helpful and has an interest in independant game and puzzle producers. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

The couple who run the store are very friendly. There are old-fashioned games, modern games, card games, puzzles, magic related items.and more… there are few shops like it, so it’s definitely worth a look. It’s right by the outdoor food market near Camden lock (this is not my review).

Strictly speaking I have not visited this shop, but I have bought puzzles from this shop and have never been disappointed and if I could visit I would (and again, and again...). I did check the shop out using Google Street View and it looks interesting. the shop is owned by Thomas Linden, who is a keen puzzle collector and recent host of an IPP. Thomas owns the worlds largest Rubik's Cube and also has manufactured puzzles under the name 'Sloyd Wooden Puzzles' since 1989. Sabine also works at the shop and both Thomas and Sabine have always been helpful with orders and enquires I have made to-date. When I last contacted Sabine she told me that the web shop had around 700 puzzles on it but the shop itself stocked over a 1000 different puzzles.

Hawkin's Bazaar

Not a puzzle shop per se, but I have obtained several nice little brainteasers from it over time.
