Hanayama Cast Puzzles
Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
One of my favourites is Cast Devil, seems easy but is tricky.
Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
Seconded, the Marble really is an exceptional puzzle. It's really nice to hold and is almost an impossible object. It's my absolute favourite Hanayama, but I have to say that the new Cast Cylinder pushes it really close.Paradox wrote:I'd always recommend the Marble. Marble is also one of my favorites. Don't have the H&H, wonder what you'll think of it.robbaylis79 wrote:I think im going to go with the 'H & H' and the Marble guys

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
I like the marble, but in both copies that I have the parts didn't rotate smoothly and would bind. Maybe just unlucky on my part.

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
Just got home from work and found the Marble waiting for me
Took it apart in less than a minute
I like the puzzle but have to say it shouldnt be rated a 4 if it comes apart that easily. Im hoping its like the cylinder (As in it being much harder to put back together than it is to take apart)

That's really quick. Most people I give it to, are working on it for at least an hour!! Maybe you got (un)lucky.robbaylis79 wrote:Just got home from work and found the Marble waiting for me

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
I looked over the list of Hanayama puzzles looking for the harder ones. The hardest ones in my opinion are the Quartet, Equa and Vortex. Nothing else is close to these three. The next group is subject to debate but I would include the Chain, Enigma and Baroq.
Some of them don't need to be hard to be fun. In no particular order Loop, Baroq, Cylinder, Donuts, Marble, Rattle, Coil, and Spiral.
Some look like they might make the list. These are Delta and G&G.

Re: Hanayama Cast Puzzles
It took me all in all about 10 minutes to take apart and put back together. Unlike others though, once you do it once its easy everytime. Saying that, I still like it and think its great the way it goes together. Im thinking the H & H and the Vortex now. I have the Quartet and Equa. Your right they are much harder
