I just opened the B-lock. Very nice puzzle! I like it very much.
I do have a question about it though. Could I PM someone about this, to prevent posting spoilers?

Prodigy was very helpful. Thank you again for that.
In the end my question was answered by email by the designer, Boaz Feldman himself. How awesome is that! Pretty good customer service I would say.

Hmm, seems this would have been the ideal starting lock...
Will add it to my list for sure
Currently up to 3 locks in the mail so I'll have to wait in order to avoid injury from the wife. Got Dan, hokey, and hales 05.
I like that it was the son that made this.

I'm not sure I would recommend this as your first or only puzzle lock. There's a trick, but not what I would consider in the general vein/theme of a puzzle lock.
I actually opened it by fiddling with a key in the lock! I e-mail'd him about it and he replied that with retail locks you can occasionally get all the pins to line up and get it open, even if the key isn't the right one! I guess I just got REALLY lucky that one time, as it has never happened again, and especially after I solved it the right way

.
The Hokey is a better start, I think.
