Pro No. 1 Puzzle!?

Post by Spanishlovemachine »

Hi guys,
When I read through one of the latest advertisments from Puzzle Master the following puzzle caught my Attention --> http://www.puzzlemaster.ca/browse/new/9 ... ed-edition

Does anyone own one or played with it yet? If yes, is it worth it or is it similar to Wil's Dovetail puzzles?

Thanx for your Input

Best regards,

That is exactly why I am asking if someone has experience with it. The price is on the high side and I want to make sure I do not buy a puzzle with a known mechanism

I'm assuming it works in the same way as we'd expect it to. I've only ever seen that shape open in one particular way, only the locking mechanism (if there is one) might differ. Still, if it's nicely made then it could be a nice addition to a metal puzzle collection regardless.

I have received my copy now and it is a really good dovetail with great quality. The fit is perfect and the solution (combination) is new to me but the different steps have been seen before in other puzzles so it isn't a puzzle that takes a long time to solve.

Maybe too expensive but this is one of the best dovetails I have seen.

I have nr129, it's very well made, the dovetail fits perfectly.
I think it's a must have for metal puzzle collectors although it's a bit expensive. It's not open yet so it has not the same mechanism as the Strijbos dovetail cubes.

The Pro No. 1 is one of my favorite puzzles. It was one of those "ah" moments after putting the puzzle down and really thinking about how to solve it.
Looking forward to No. 2
