It is a shame about the boxes. I think I'd actually prefer it if it just arrived in a cardboard tube like the Revos. Given the quality look of the Loki I don't think it would feel right displaying it in that box.

I have to agree, they don't really seem to go together.

I would have preferred a revo like box, or isis, or something different. But that's just my 2-cents. :)

Mine came yesterday too but I didn't get a chance to open it yet. Hopefully I will have time tonight. Mine should be the black/gray version.

Received mine all damaged in the box.. Looks like DSL cut up all the tape and opened the box, then just threw it back together, and the wooden box was thrown around.. Loki is fine.. Looking over the puzzle I think that the symbols on the puzzle should have been engraved after the parts were anodized.. It would have looked much better..

Mine has damage on the puzzle. Sharp gouges. Small, but it'd definitely scratch me if I dragged it across the skin. Not to mention a pretty ugly blemish for an otherwise good looking puzzle.

Cat's outta the bag now - Biggest Critic bought one.

Mine has quite a lot of scratches/damage on the puzzle too. It looks like something metal grabbed it after the anodizing was performed, maybe during assembly. I'll take a picture or two tonight and post them as well as send them to NG to see what thy say about it. On mine it is really only on one of the outer pieces and the ring next to it. But it does look pretty bad, as if it was held by a metal clamp. I don't think this was damage from the box or packaging.

Hmm...sounds familiar. It sounds an awful lot like the gentle approach that Customs take when it comes to items they can't see into.

Just so it doesn't mess with people's browsers or anything I'm spoilering it but it's not really a spoiler.
