U-Two

Post by pcad »

Did anyone else buy this little disentanglement puzzle from W. Strijbos's latest news letters?

It was designed by Jean Claude Constantin and is much harder than it looks. At least for me it's difficult. I'm sure someone's here that's good at these types of puzzles. Other than just moving things around I've made no progress at all. I guess that's a good thing, from a certain point of view.

I guess I'm the only one here that bought one.

The good news is that I got it apart.
The bad news is that I haven't a clue as to how it goes back together. I'm really up the creek now.

After working with this puzzle for awhile I've finally gotten to the point where I can both take it apart and put it back together reliably.

I don't have enough of this type of puzzle to say how difficult it is, but I found that it was quite satisfying to figure it out. I like it because it looks simple but is more difficult than it looks. Of the few puzzles i own which are similar this one, this one has higher quality materials and workmanship.

It's also nice to pay €5 instead of €500 for an enjoyable puzzle. I'll probably pick up more of these as W. Strijbos makes them available.

Tis a tricky one. I like that it isn't very complicated looking and is still a tough little SOB to solve. Even after the large ring is separated from the other pieces it's still challanging to separate the remaining pieces. Like many puzzles, this one is harder to reassemble than disassemble.
