Impossible Playing Cards

Post by BarnDoor »

There's a great post by Allard about some "impossible card folding" on his blog:

http://allardspuzzlingtimes.blogspot.co ... sible.html

It's a great puzzle to figure them out. I've managed the first , but that Olympic ( TM ) ring one is just beyond

here's my first go at folding the first card ( many attempts on an old card, hence the wear and tear ) :

Very nice! Especially as a first attempt! Could you iron the cards to make them perfectly flat again?

I have to admit, after reading Allard's post I really wanted a few of these for my collection. Guess I'll have to make some for myself! :D

Thanks ;) Not sure about ironing. You're right, though, - they should be displayed flat really.

If you make all the cuts, and just play around for a while, you should get it.

Very impressive, Joe - for a first attempt, that is awesome.

Well done.

...come on Oli - up the ante?

I've finished making a couple and they've come out quite well, but they're made using acrylic cards, so I'll post proper attempts later on when I can find a set of 'proper' cards to sacrifice at the puzzle altar.

Wow! Those are cool :)

I wonder if I could sacrifice my daughter's deck of plastic cards :p.
