Ordered my cylinder from within the UK so I don't have to wait or pay shipping :D

Lets hope I don't solve it too quickly so I don't end up ordering more once my newsletter comes through..

WANTED: Wil's 10 move aluminum burr

I have the 7 move burr (http://www.sloyd.fi/aluminum-burr-moves ... p-927.html) but have been looking for the 10 move one (http://www.sloyd.fi/aluminum-burr-moves ... p-928.html) for quite some time now. Wil does do occasional production runs of older puzzles, but I assume that's based on how many people ask/bug him about it. In this case, probably not nearly so many as for his more popular puzzles.

Anyway, I'll pay a good price for this if anyone can part with theirs. Thanks for reading.

Several years ago, I purchased Aluminum Cylinder, Cross, and the 10-move burr from a seller on eBay for $120usd (shipping included). :D :D This was before Chris Ramsey started posting solution videos on Youtube, causing secondary market prices to go up. Anyway, I've since sold the Cylinder and 10-move burr on eBay for a healthy profit. I'm not much of a burr guy, so that one was the first to go. Just be patient and check eBay (and other secondary markets) often. I've been lucky in the past to find some really good deals, I'm sure there are more to come. Good luck.

Does anyone know if Wil has put out a newsletter or is coming out with new production of older puzzles (lotus, specifically).

I ask because in the last 2 weeks, there has been a flurry (7 on the US site) lotus puzzles on eBay that have gone for $400 and above. And there have been none for almost the previous14 months.

If a new lot is coming out, makes financial sense to sell the one you currently have and then buy the new production for 1/3 the cost to replenish your collection.

Wil put out a newsletter 4 September (although the e-mail itself said 6 September). Here are the first few lines:

News Letter 06.09.2019.

Lotus Flower

Dear friends, I’m happy to announce that I have
in stock again the Lotus Flower

Article: The Lotus Flower - Price Euro 130

So what has happened it that a bunch of people jumped on that, bought one or more, and are now trying to re-sell for a hefty profit :-(. You just had the timing off, not knowing new Lotus puzzles had arrived already.

It’s probably going to have a ridiculous reserve of like 250 euros...
