I found a cheap twist puzzle today in my local pound shop. Coded padlock with no code xD.

Nice find, Chris.
One could even hide a certificate inside this (blind?) revolving maze puzzle!
Too bad it isn't for sale at the moment.

The design has been made public on thingiverse so there's nothing stopping you downloading the stl file and getting it made by somewhere like shapeways... it'll certainly cost more but would have a nicer finish than one made with fdm. I might have a stab at making one tomorrow

'Ignore' is a very harsh word. Let's say 'neglect to notice' instead.

How is anyone ignoring copyright?
The site you can buy it off is run by the person/people who made the design and the design is released under CC BY-NY. Therefore, anyone can use/modify/make/re-share the design and models made providing they don't try to sell them and give attribute the work.
Infact, the site actively encourages you to reproduce the design.

Today they seem to be in stock again (at €23,00 + €13,50 shipping, I didn't order it).
Chris did you give it a try on your machine?
