According to my latest email, SonicGames are currently offering the Copernisis for $149 with free shipping. May be worth it if you were looking to get one anyway.

I did also find Mr. Reeves selling a copy of the Titanium Isis, Ramisis G2 and iBall3 on eBay as a whole with a starting bid of £160.

I wager that a better way to waste $149 is to roll up the notes and smoke them... at least you'd get high off the ink fumes. The Copernisis is a serious waste of the earth's metal resources :|

I'm curious to know what the G2 Ramisis is like... but not so much that I'd buy one.

I still need to open my Ramisis before I consider any more SW puzzles.

TBH, the only reason I have a copernisis is because Andrew gave it to me. interestingly enough, I haven't been able to open it.

Sending it to you for testing would be considerably cheaper than sending it back to the UK. I might actually take you up on that offer.

Are you ever in El Paso?

I just read through this whole thing quick. I bought a Kuku a while back. And... im definitely one persistent dood and... whats this about potential extra anodizing nonsense? How would you clean that out? My kuku ... does not like to shift or budge or anything... so any guidance would be awesome. Thanks everyone.

My Kuku had a noticeable amount of a sticky substance which I can only assume was from the anodizing process as it was coloured. While the puzzle itself is pretty tough (depending on which version you have), the sticky crap made it impossible to solve properly. As Allard suggested, the first time I opened mine I had to use feeler gauges to prize the crud from between the gaps and force the parts to move. It took about a week using this method to open it the first time.

Once it was open I used a PCB foam cleaner (Electrolube Safewash) which promptly stripped all the crap off (which resulted in bleaching all the colours) and the puzzle has worked great ever since.

That said, as far as I know it was only the original batches (those sent to the valued 500 club) that had problematic puzzles.
