Here is a topic for letting fellow puzzle collectors know of any great puzzle deals that you happen to hear about. Because let's face it...we all love a great deal! :D

Here's one to kick it off:

The online UK store called 'Open And Shut' is now closing down, and as such all items are being sold at half price.

http://www.openandshut.biz/

This includes puzzles by Pentangle, Mr. Puzzle, Heartwood and several others.

Seriously...check it out! ;)

Yeah thanks Oli  - no really THANKS!

That's another £60 you have cost me. Until recently this forum was a source of info and amusement regarding Revo's but all it seems to do now is prompt an endless drain on funds!

Still - supposed it's better than leaving it in the bank! :D

Brian Menold of Wood Wonders is now selling puzzle cube making kits for a mere $8.

With the kit you get:
  • 30 Wooden Cubes
  • A small squaring jig
  • Sandpaper
  • Q-tip
  • Toothpicks
All you need to supply is the wood glue.

Seems to be working alright for me. I changed the URL in my post to the homepage, so it should hopefully work for you now.

Oli's link is a bit bad.

Go to woodwondersonline.com

the .html at the end of the link is what's causing it to be bad.

I should mnetion, for $8 that's a pretty good deal.

Doing this myself, I know how long it takes to make square blocks. Add to that a square corner jig, and it's a great deal. If you were thinking about making 3x3 cube puzzles, it's a great kit, and there's hundreds of designs on Puzzle Will be Played that can be made from 30 cubes.

This looks very much like the (huge box of) puzzles that Ibought just before MPP3. They kept me busy for about a month. Many nice puzzles, a few great ones, a few poor ones.
Comes with a sheet of background information and a solution sheet for each puzzle, although I get the impression that some of that background information is made up or irrelevant to the puzzle. Anyway not a bad deal for many hours of puzzling fun.

But... Only 12 hours and a bit to go, and pick-up only...
