Makishi Puzzles

Post by 03SVTCobra »

Received an email from Makishi with an order form. They are out of stock but he will make the boxes I order.
Anyone have any experience with any of these? Should I just order them all! This will be my first attempt at puzzle boxes.

I read the 50 is really extremely hard even with the solution.

Well I highly recommend anything that is made by Makishi. I just recently bought his 30 & 50 move boxes, and they are brilliant. And I just received the Pagoda Puzzle Box which he also made, and that is also brilliant.

It seems that the mechanisms of the boxes are the same, so unless you want to collect the set then you could just buy the 50 move. Personally I'd get the whole set.....but that's just me being a bad influence again.

I won it on the Puzzle Paradise Australian Relief Auction that just finished. I think the only way you can get hold of them is through auctions as they are limited in number, but if you keep an eye out you should be able to track one down.

...before the Australian Relief auction, there were a few on Puzzle Paradise with BUY NOW options on them, with a few shown in stock ... might be worth keeping an eye on there in the future.

Indeed!

Or maybe even contact Makishi directly to see if he has any available. It's worth a try. :)

Pagoda puzzles available from Puzzle Paradise but don't buy them all before I get one - have enquired about shipping costs to UK.
Open = Green, Blue, Bronze, Red, Black, Black V2, resting = Silver, started = Gold, ready for when Gold gets too much = Orange.

Buggar it!

That's a 25 move Pagoda puzzle on the way - one of only 25 made and £90 Inc shipping to the UK.

And for the 30'ish puzzles I have bought in the last 8 weeks I blame Oli, Allard, Kevin, Vinco etc etc etc

Please stop now or I will have no choice but to remove all temptations by removing all Internet access from this point forward!

Just glad I can still resist 'proper' puzzles like the Stickman's currently on sale at Puzzle Paradise, but they do look just SO good

You have to deal with Makishi (or his daughters) directly via email. Although you can still get his and Matt's Pagoda Boxes on Paradise right now.
