I've found a few interesting things that are surely part of the final step, but can't implement them yet... All this while I wait for my gold to come back!
I ended up getting it solved finally! I was on the right track for quite awhile, but the last move is a bit touchy. Even now that I can repeat the solution easily, occasionally the last move hangs me up for a bit. So that's the advice I'd have for this puzzle. If you get a spark of inspiration, try it out multiple times just to be sure.

Yeah I agree that the last step can be finicky. I actually found the mechanism for the last step right away but stumbled as well on implementing the right action. After a good hour of overcomplicating things, I ended up "confirming" my first theory through careful observation and drawing things out (mapping? :D) which allowed me to focus my attempts. I am guessing that last detail is the extra bonus of the B model!

Overall a very elegant solution and an enjoyable puzzle to collect. Very happy with it!

Are the differences between the Model "A" and "B" very noticeable? I have never seen a Model "A" Danlock. Anyone have a photo of one? KIRK

They look nearly identical, as they are modified from the same padlock. The difference is that Model B has a significant extra final step in order to solve the puzzle. In this respect Model B is simply an advancement of design on Model A.

I received my DanLock B yesterday. It arrived much sooner than I expected. What a great puzzle!

Got to the part where I've got to get it back into the same configuration that it arrived in.

I know what I have to do. I've noticed some things that I think are important. Still working on getting that last step to work.

Mine showed up a few days ago. I got it open!!! Of course, that's the easy part. I haven't proceeded much beyond that, yet. From what I've read, my solution theories are probably wrong (too simple).

Just a heads up that that there may still be a limited quantity of DanLocks available. I contacted Michal last week about the possibility of ordering one and I as in luck, as they had a "small quantity" on hand.
