Your Blog reads very well and glad you pit the full solution for the silver in there. Oops don't rush people I was joking!
Cheers mate, that's very kind of you... hope my latest post doesn't offend the O-man!
I'm also looking forward to seeing everyone again and possibly meeting some new folks...

Was thinking Bill Cutler was deserving a bit of a mention lately with maybe a thread in the other puzzles forum and I have been checking out his site quite a bit.
Today I took the plunge and ordered 2 burrs directly from him then I come home and find your new blog posting with a review of all 4 in the Wausau series - the 83 Is one of the 2 I have ordered but of course now after reading your reviews I of course now want more, especially the 84 which you make sound very interesting!
Open = Green, Blue, Bronze, Red, Black, Black V2, resting = Silver, started = Gold, ready for when Gold gets too much = Orange.

Thanks Karl, it's nice of you to say that... I should say that there's also a Bill's Ball Bearing Burr on the desk at the moment - I got luck and got it open...put it back together and need to work on a repeatable strategy for opening it...nice confusing little puzzle!
allard
(oh, and in answer to your question somewhere else, received a QED, Scott's Enigma, 13thLoH and a Snowflake from Dave Pottinger in the post... nice, big puzzles...)
Those 4 Pentangles could probably fill a shelf on their own - your gonna need more room!
Got one of the heartwood boxes off Dave myself, was about to order a couple of the Mr Puzzle burrs as well when they sold out - should have got in quicker.
I get the impression that MPP (and all the new blog sites) have been quite a bad/good/expensive (delete as appropriate) influence on most of us that attended!

Your so right Karl
My other half thinks deliveries of puzzles every other day may be excessive.
It's ok, I have reassured her it's good thing!
Got a few bits today that will bring to MPP2

I find that responding 'but instead I could be spending the money on drink/drugs/gambling/other women' normally deflects some of 'her' concern about the continual spend!
And of course there is just plain not quite telling the full truth 'the Makishi Pagoda was only £25!', 'Bill Cutler Burrs are only a tenner each!' etc etc - you just have to make sure you delete the paypal emails before she gets a look!
I did get caught out this week though! - have the 4 Karakuri Cake boxes on the way from Puzzleboxworld and had previously declared to 'her' the special price I got them at - we then got a letter from the UK carrier demanding customs vat duty be paid (which she opened as it looked 'official' ) and of course she then gets confused as to why if vat is 20% then they seem to be asking for 40% of the price I said the puzzles cost! - ah well you can't win them every time.
