You haven' completed it yet. Don't remove the pin unless you want to ruin your experience.
Actually there's no real need to remove the pin. It doesn't get "more solved" by removing the pin, though I did remove it to see the inner mechanism and to check if my idea of how it worked was correct! (it was... up to a point). ;)

Thanks, I was pretty sure I wasn't finished. The only goals left that I can see is to make the dovetail open further or separate the dovetailed pieces.

The goal you have left is to understand why it is called the lotus. Should be reasonably obvious once you get there.

I have a question on the Angel Box which I just received.
What are you suppose to see when you look in the "hole"?

The angel is in there. She was mooning me when I got my box but after some fiddling she looked out!

And I am so stuck now!

Thanks for responding, that's what I also thought from the photos I have seen of the Angel box.
However, when I look into the "hole" on mine, I see a piece of metal with three screws in it ???
I wonder if something shifted during rough handling in shipping, although there was no damage
to the package and it was packed very well.

I don think there is any room for her to go anywhere else. Maybe he forgot to put her in there?

Hope it will be fixed soon. Unfortunately I still don't have much time to start with the puzzle.

Finally I understand the mystery of the Lotus.

Once I was enlightened, I closed the Lotus and realized I hadn't really understood the mechanism. It was locked up tighter than a drum again. Argh!!!

This time I wanted the hidden knowlage and crossed the line that wasn't meant to be crossed. After a good long while the Lotus opened again. Ah Ha, I cried. Now all I have to do is get to where I was when I was enlightened and I'll be able to understand its secrets fully.

Things are going well and then... OMG !!! It's completely seized up ! Out comes some language that I haven't used since I slammed my forehead into a cabinet corner by accident. It felt just like when I had crashed my fathers car as a teen. I'm sure W Strijbos planned this nightmare scenario just for people / idiots like me that can't leave well enough alone.

Eventually I get it unstuck with an enormous sigh of relief. Now I know why I had problems with this puzzle. In retrospect, I think there's just bearly enough clues to figure this puzzle out, but they don't come easy. I took the liberty to banish some of its evil spirits to a place where the sun don't shine (no, not that place, get your mind out of the gutter), they'll be safe there and if they're good I'll let them out once in a while.

This was quite a puzzle and a big step up from his cylinder and cross. I hope the 1st Box and the Angel box are as rewarding and fun as the Lotus was.
