Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
In the end, I bought the puzzle. I just couldn't pass it up. I figured that I'm probably not going to sell it anyhow, so a box with a ding in it wasn't worth missing out.

Re: Rainer Popp - Popplocks
Hey guys,
I received the lock today and I have to say, it’s truly a masterpiece. It’s a perfect blending of elements from the T1, T2, T5, T6, T10, T11.
I solved it in about three hours of tinkering, and I think that was mainly due to a familiarity with the way Rainer crafts his puzzles. The puzzle provides the perfect amount of tiny little hints to prod you in the proper direction. I would say the only step requiring a “leap” or “ah ha” moment is the first step, finding the keyhole. The rest can be accomplished by pure mechanical inductive reasoning.
I know the T1 is rare, the T4 is highly sought after and the T11 is particularly stunning, but between the 4, grab yourself the T12. You made the right decision purchasing one with a damaged box.
Takes about 22 steps by my count.
Have fun with it!

It took me almost 6 months to solve the T11! Such an involved puzzle, and it’s necessary to take time away from it and see it with fresh eyes.

Speaking of T11, if anyone wishes to sell one please PM me.
