Had my eye on the Karakuri cake boxes for a while - expect many of you have too.
So rather pleased to see Puzzlebox world offering 25% off any/all of the 4 - if you know the special code that is!
They do a facebook page (not that I am a member - hate it! - but you can view the page without being a member, as below) and on there they sometimes show discount codes.

Dont know how long the offer is, or their stock levels, but I have just ordered all 4 with standard international shipping to the UK for a total of $165 - thats £103 all in for us in the UK.
Wanted to share the good news.

Karakuri Creation Group
Here's another topic to discuss another of the big names in the puzzle world; the Karakuri Creation Group.
I think that they make some of the most beautifully made wooden puzzles, and it would be great to see what everyone else thinks.
Here are some examples from my collection;

Karakuri Cube 2 by Puzzleparadox, on Flickr

Karakuri Cube 3 by Puzzleparadox, on Flickr

Karakuri Cube 4 by Puzzleparadox, on Flickr
So what Karakuri items do you own?
What items do you see yourself buying in the future?
And what items are on your 'wish I could afford it' list?

Re: Karakuri Creation Group
I just received my #2 and #4 of the Karakuri Cubes.
While I enjoyed #4 - part of the puzzle was a bit loose, which helped make the puzzle a bit easier than I would have liked, but a very clever opening nonetheless.
#2 was a bit tighter, which made the solution much harder to find as nothing was just going to pop open.
Both of them are beautifully made. I'd like to buy #1 and #3 - but my birthday is coming up soon and I've placed them on my wishlist and nudged my girlfriend to go look at it. Hopefully I'll have some interesting puzzles soon!
