Re: Impossible Playing Cards

I had a go at folding the Looping Loops ( designed by Kohfuh Sato ), of which I found a picture on Ralf's excellent blog : http://impossiblefoldings.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/looping-loops.html It says "the reader can try his luck and solve the puzzle" So it was out with the scissors again, a...

Re: Mr Puzzle - Australia

While you are putting in a Mr Puzzle order, you might want to get a copy of "Symmetrick" ( allard reviewed it in his blog: http://allardspuzzlingtimes.blogspot.co.uk/2012/11/symmetrick.html ) Also, "Octet in F" is a nice tray packing puzzle , and a Stewart Coffin original... Mr P...

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!

You think you've done it and then in the back of your mind you just know you haven't. It's great because you should have had some good puzzling by now and then it all starts again! My copy of "Lotus" arrived today. I think I'm at the stage you describe :D Edit : Oh wow :o Now I know why i...

Waddler, it is the "2 Rings Teddy (Hanayama)" from Wil's Dec. newsletter C

It is just at the bottom of Kevin's picture of his Wil Strijbos haul.. Easy to miss when the eye is drawn to all the other goodies ;)

Re: Wil Strijbos!!!

That's good to know, Ali. Mine is on its way ( I had to wait for Wil to find me a copy of "Tan-Talizing" amongst all his boxes ;) ). If it is, as you say, a "back to roots Strijbos puzzle" then I'm sure I'm going to enjoy it. Has anybody worked out why he called it the "Lotu...

Re: Impossible Playing Cards

Thanks guys. I hope to see them at MPP Yes, I'll bring some to MPP. I can show you how to fold one from scratch, if you like. Louis, those interlinked bills, or sheets of paper are still bothering me too. And those 'really impossible' ones... Looks great, and for a first attempt, not to shabby! Yes,...

Re: Impossible Playing Cards

As a change from cards, I had a go at making a couple of braided bills. No glue or tricks. The bills are intact with just two slots cut in each. It is tricky, especially the last move - these are my first efforts:
