Re: Mapping Challenge

Welcome to the forum, davidreyan15. If you want to learn about mapping, you're definitely in the right thread. Have a read through the provious posts. There are pleanty of good methods already in here. If you're tempted to build a mapping tool like the laser cut or 3D printed mappers, I would cautio...

Re: Plastic Material

I actually shelved this project a long time ago due to software issues that couldn't be resolved. 4 axis milling with Fusion 360 and a TinyG driver was problematic to say the least. I couldn't find a reliable post processor for Fusion 360 that would work with the TinyG 4th axis. There were times whe...

Re: Mapping Challenge

You're welcome. I hope you find them useful. Good luck with your Revos. Bronze, you might get away with not mapping, but Copper has a lot to keep track of without a map. Hold out as long as you can!

Re: Mapping Challenge

I've heard that silver is a really tough challenge, and I'm not sure how I want to start it. I have a feeling I'll end up using the mapper, But I'd like to avoid it as much as possible. I was considering giving Crypton's graph paper Idea a try. I've just been to busy lately. I'd like to have a decen...

Re: Mapping Challenge

I'm glad it worked. You're right about it taking the challenge away from the puzzles. I started and opened Bronze and Copper in the same day using a mapper. That led me to putting a disclaimer at the top of the Thingiverse design pages warning people to use it only as a last resort. I like starting ...

Re: Mapping Challenge

I wonder if it's safe to assume that all V1 Obsessions have the larger diameter core ends, and the V2 Obsessions all have the smaller ends. I've labelled the files that way and included them in this post and in the post on page 16.

Re: Mapping Challenge

Anyone looking to print my mapper design for an Obsession maze may want to hold off for a day or two. Crypton's feedback has got me thinking that there may be Obsessions with different diameters for the ends (handles/grips). His measurement is 20.55 mm, and cmh714's measurement was 23.86 mm. Can any...

Re: Mapping Challenge

I'm not sure what an "r1" is, but the link at the top of page 15 is for the metal Revomazes with a septagonal/heptagonal core. I made two designs for the same Revomazes. The latest (and recommended) one is here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2831530 If "r1" refers to the Obse...

Re: CHECK YOUR CERTIFICATE NUMBER

I've got good news, and bad news. The good news is I just received mail from Revomaze with a replacement certificate! :D Send them an email, and they'll set you up if the wrong one was in your maze. The bad news is Nickleback sounds worse live than on their latest LP. ;) https://i.imgur.com/zNlQp0y....
