I know there has been alot of talk about buying hard to find Revomazes, but has there been talk of renting them? I do understand how hard it is to trust someone over the internet and I am not saying I am ready to rent any as of now, but I am just putting that out there. The idea would be to borrow the Maze for set period of time and set amount of money. There would also be a security deposit involved to ensure safety of maze, depending on what the maze is worth it could be much more. This is mainly targeting unavailable Revo's like Silver, Black, Handmade, Purple, Orange and such.

Not a bad idea. It's a bummer to know that I'll likely never own a silver and gold and be able to complete the set. I saw someone else mention a re-release that would keep the limited editions limited but still allow new puzzlers to own/play all of the puzzles. I thought that was a cool idea.

I might keep this in mind for the future though. I'm just getting started in my revomaze adventure so it'll be awhile before I'm at the silver/gold point but I'd imagine I'll want to at least try them at some point if I can't ever own them.

It has been discussed before a few times in the past. Issues that were raised included the obvious, like the whole 'trust' thing. But apart from that there is the pretty big issue with shipping. Discontinued Revos are one thing you really don't want to get lost or damaged in the post. Even a security deposit of the full item value won't get you a discontinued puzzle back.

I'm all in favour of lending out Revos (or most other puzzles), but I'd always prefer to hand it over and receive it back in person.

That's great, unless you live in the US. :D

It seems like most serious puzzlers and puzzlemakers are not from the US.

Also, speaking of rare puzzles, how do some of you guys get all these limited puzzles? Like Marcel Gillen Puzzles, for example? Is there a puzzle network you need to be in? I know that stickman has a list you can join to get some of his new puzzles. There are so many great puzzles I want but they aren't usually mass produced and I never know how to get them. I know a lot of you trade/share puzzles at MPP, but that isn't an option for me. Just curious is all. :)
