Hi all,

As some of you may know I have 2 Collectors edition sets.

I am going to be selling one, so I thought I would give you guys "first refusal" before I put it on ebay in December.

The set I will be selling will be the Gold Collectors edition.

It is un assembled and in perfect condition.

The box Chris sent it it in had a tarnished box "medallion" I can polish that up if you want or you can do it yourself.

Please don't ask what I want for it.

I don't really know till I see what is being offered (if anything).
I won't reply either here or via PM to such requests.

PM me your best offer. I will reply and let you know if you are the highest bidder.
I will also PM you and let you know if your offer has been beaten.

This offer will remain open until any of the following conditions are met.

A: Until December. This is to get maximum exposure (and to get the best price of course) and to give the less active members a chance to see it.

B: I stop receiving offers.

C: I accept an offer

Cheers,

Phill.

More good news for LE collectors.

My Black is also up for offers using the above system.

Cheers,

Phill

Edit.

This maze is in perfect condition and is LE17 with the stand and medallion.

Please continue to this thread.
I don't want to clutter this one.

Has this puzzle been solved?
If so, will the certificate be included?

Ezamover's Puzzlectomy.

Post by ezamover »

Hi all,

I thought I would start this thread as I don't want to clutter the buyers and sellers one.

As some of you probably know I am not a serious puzzler. I am a bower bird, I collect shiny things.
Revomazes are very shiny and I love them a lot but how many revo's should you put in your nest ?

I have come to the conclusion that I was turning into a mad cat lady with these.

A bit of background on why I am thinking of removing most of my collection from my life.

My wife and I have just completed (mostly) a complete renovation of our house and we have both realised just how much stuff we have that we just never use.
We are now in the "less is more" camp.
We are de-cluttering our lives.

I have a 120 square meter shed full of stuff I have no real use for.

Hobbies MUST be reduced to a manageable size.

The yacht went as we only used it twice a year.
Kids got sea sick, wife got sunburned, I got sick of the moaning.

Model aeroplanes, the metal detector and my pistol shooting can stay.
The rest ... OUT OUT OUT damn spot !

My wife is even going to put most of her beloved collection of elephants in the garage sale we are going to have.
Yes they will fit. They are only Asian elephants :-P

Revo's for me, are more art than anything else. I love the pure genius and the deviousness of the designs.
They are for the most part too fiendish for me to solve though.

My original thought was that I would hand the whole collection down to my kids, and I still might do that, but they have not shown much interest in them really.

Chris is in my opinion one of the most amazing metal working puzzle artists in the world.
His work is of such a high standard.
I have personally never seen any better apart from Miguel Berocal, sorry Chris, but he did that without CAD !.

As for my Berrocal collection it is going to have the same ruthless rule applied to it.

I will be keeping my favourite Berrocal- Goliath - and selling my Richelieu.
Richelieu is an amazing piece of work but I just don't love it as much. So it to must go.

Goliath sits on my bed side table. I really love looking at it when I wake up and will be a keeper till I drop dead, of that I am certain...... I think...maybe ;)

I said this about Revo's ... but then as some wise man said ... only a fool never changes his mind. :)

So...

How do I sell this stuff ?
To the people with deep pockets ?
Or to the people who love them the most ?

As a whole or piece by piece ?

I have received a serious offer for the black LE so far that is twice what I paid for it, so I can't complain about the profit margin but it's not all about the money.
I don't really give a fig about the money, but would obviously like to make a profit.

Do I just sell piece by piece, or should I give someone a chance to get an almost complete collection of revo's in one bite ?

The collection does not take up much room .. should I just stick them all in a cupboard and take them out from time to time to give them a polish ?

I really don't know. Really I don't ...

No need to answer this. It's just me musing.
I will have to have more of a think about it.

I will post a list and some pictures later.

If I may add,

This forum is full of collectors. Honestly, most of us collect puzzles as a hobby. Because you made a separate thread, I don't think there will be anything wrong with showing some other possessions that you no longer need. I think that there will be someone who will be interested in these objects.

I am looking forward to seeing what pictures you have to post.

In regards on how you would like to sell them, the ultimate choice is yours. However, very rarely do those who truly want something the most beat out those with the "deep pockets". I have the feeling that others would gladly be interested in your collection to look after what you once treasured. I am looking forward to your course of action.

I say, sell your revomazes to those who you know will keep them in good condition and not play with it as of its a ball or something like that, sell them to those that you trust !
