True to his word Revorabbit delivered!

It was a long time ago that I purchased or pledge money for rabbits project. Honestly wasn' sure what to think with the long standing silence but! It got one!

The little guy is simple and sturdy! I asked about that "texture" that is presented on the finished product. He basically said that it had to do with the type of glue that was used... When he washed the puzzle post print some of that glue washed away creating a sort of black camo effect. I actually really like it.

Thanks, Steve! Glad you're having some fun with this project!

Is this a different version than the 3D printed version others received? I was under the impression that glue is not needed with a 3D printer.

No glue is required. I think the glue you mention is the glue that caused the camp look. 3D printers require some way to increase initial layer adhesion. I use glue stick for this. With an uneven coat of glue stick the above look was accidentally created.

They don't require a way to increase it. You can print directly on the build plate or add a raft. I have printed many things both ways without a problem.

I doing always get a perfect first layer so adding the glue worked great. I haven't liked adding a raft because the surface needs clean up where the read meets the object.

There are tons of methods out there. It comes down to what works best for your printer, filament, and personal preference. I put over 300 hours on my printer before I tried anything besides glue stick.
