Possibility?

I think ReVoRabbit mentioned earlier about using the bottom as a storage for the certificate etc?

I guess the bottom plate could be made out of anything, to keep the cost lower? Also depends on how good a fit is possible or maybe use tape to pack the inside edge?

Just an idea.

I guess we really dont need feet. Just didnt know how much they would move being made out of carbon fiber

FWIW, I think you'll need feet to stop them sliding around and scratching polished surfaces / shelves.

That's what I was thinking. One something like a glass shelf i figured they would slide easily.

Nice stand, but I for one would like a stand that could hold more than one, I always thought of having a stand to show them opened. Standing up like cups and the core in the back standing up so people can see the maze...

Just as a point of info as you design these, I think the versatility of having the two removable pieces to show the puzzle assembled or disassembled is a must. You could buy either or both and on your end you're producing the same carbon fiber base. I would buy both seeing as most of my puzzles are currently closed :? but will one day be opened. I like the ability to swap the clear piece as I progress, without having to purchase another base. Just a thought.

A small space to keep the pins and other internals could be quite handy as well.

I think the multi stand idea can be accommodated by simply having a little "U" shaped clip that would clip two bases together

i thought about doing a clip or connector, but that would raise the edge unless the side was modified. and then if it was just a single stand, it wouldn't look as nice. so i was thinking about using magnets.

of course once we get a sound single stand product rolling, i'll consider doing a 5 stand as well.

i'm going to take this back to the drafting board and see if i cant find a way to secure the shelf, certs, and "internals" all inside the stand base.
