Unfortunately, I think the answer to that is no.
To be honest I can't see them being shipped before Christmas, maybe even the new year now. Chris was on course for them to be out on time but I believe the new platers haven't managed to provide the quality Chris originally requested and needed (this may now be rectified, Im not 100% sure).

As such, the last I heard was that at least one batch has had to be re-plated and I reckon that the golds will be done once he is satisfied with what these guys can produce (I guess re-making a load of gold cores would be a rather expensive hobby if they're as ingenious as he's made them out to be :? ). Added to this, Chris also apparently received an unprecedented amount of orders in the last week or so (I think it's all hands on deck with assembling revos at the Pitt household  ), and the weather playing havoc with getting stock and shipping goods means that he is a little snowed under! :(

I'm sorry to be the bearer of potentially bad news, but we shall try to keep you updated as and when we hear stuff :)

Cheers guys,
Chris

edit: note that this isn't official but I just thought some info is better than nothing.

Having worked in aerospace and been responsible for the quality of component parts, I very pleased and happy to wait as long as it takes to ensure quality, especially in the plating. Poor plating is worse than no plating at all. There may not be many moving parts to a revomaze but rotation is essential and flaking plating will only cause seizures and damage to the internal working of the puzzle. Plating lifting off will also affact the travelling along/through the maze and in narrow areas may cause the maze to fail, i.e. you could be unable to proceed normally.
In addition plating chemicals primers etc. may be present and exposed when the plating flakes off, this could be toxic or corrosive to the anodising on the revomaze housing/pins/internals etc. Worst of all the maze is designed to work within tolerances. If the plating is too thick or thin or irregular this will affect the maze as well as rotation/fit.

Glad for the update and happy to wait, back to the chanting O Purple Ones... I thought you had taken the blood, you have decieved us all...

if there is indeed an update, please edit the "December News" appropriately... Set people's expectations appropriately, and people (me) won't grumble (as much)

That's discouraging news after hearing that the plating was "100% resolved".

While dissapointing, it's also very relieving. Maybe I'll have enough extra time to both solve the Silver and design a decent Orange.

What ever happened to the original platers? Seems like they did a great job as all the other (except red) are still holding strong.

This is also quite good and bad news in my direction as well. This gives me some extra time to wait for my Blue, and some more time to work on my bronze. If i get the money, i might just end up ordering green as well to reduce the time by 2 weeks rather than 1. However, the bad news is that i was hoping that the golds were gonna get shipped already.
