Exactly! Not difficult puzzles by any means in the 'take apart' sense, but if you ask people to consider how they could possibly have gone together in the first place that's where the real fun is!

I don't think I can technically answer that as I don't know where you are in the puzzle. I think it's safe to remove the coin, just so long as everything else is in place.

Yeah a guy at my work figured out the final move.

It is now all back together and I have yet to figure out the final move to get it open :oops:

The important thing is NOT to remove the black pin ( as Wil stressed in his email ).
You need to solve it with the black split pin in place.

Afterwards, when you are sure you have completed all the steps, taking out the split pin will allow full dis-assembly, to see the internals.
If you do this be very, very careful of what might emerge as you dismantle it. ;)
