We all like to feel confident when a competition is running that the
effort and cost to become the best is correctly awarded.
To ensure Fair Play we have decided to have two Live
Competition Events hosted in the UK and the USA where competitors compete to solve
the puzzles in each of five categories and the winners going forward to
the final.
The five categories at each event are equivalent to the five REVOMAZE
colours –
Blue (40 places), Green (30 Places), Bronze (20 Places), Silver (10
Places), and Gold (5 Places).
To become eligible for this competition:
1)
You must own and have registered one of the five REVOMAZE
Series 1 puzzles.
2)
You need to open your puzzle and register the correct Certificate
of Ownership to compete in that category.
3)
We then place you on one of our our two website leader boards.
The positions are filled in chronological order of received
registration of the Certificate of Ownership.
There are five Code Maps - one in each puzzle colour. All five
will be needed to determine the 16 character Series Code. The one
who emails us first the correct Series Code for their event will automatically be in the
Live Final at that event with a 2 second advantage for the first to solve
the code in either event and a 1 second advantage for the first to solve
in the other event !
21 days after both the Series Codes are identified will be the close of all
applications. All eligible
contestants for the event will be notified the time and date and location of the
venues.
If an eligible contestant cannot attend, their position(s) are
removed and the next chronological contestant will take their place.
The Live Events
There are 106 places available in the live competition at each event
(212 for both), the Series Code
Winner plus the top enthusiasts who chronically opened their puzzle within
the places available in each category (Complete details of the whole event to
follow).
Puzzle Opening Rules Overview
(the full rules are in our terms and conditions)
1)
The contestant must use the official REVOMAZE
puzzle (Blue, Green, Bronze,
Silver or Gold – The final uses a Special Edition Purple Puzzle) without
any training aids or marking aids.
2)
The puzzle cleaned, cooled and is set up ready by the judge.
3)
The contestant starts the time clock after being told to go by the
judge and proceeds to open the puzzle in the shortest time.
4)
You must not throw, drop or hit the REVOMAZE against anything.
Doing so may lead to the contestants’ disqualification from the
whole competition.
5)
Once the bar reaches the open position (you do not need to remove
the shaft), the contestant can stop the
clock for the time recorded by the judge.
6)
If the contestant fails to open the Puzzle by the maximum time for
that category, no time will be entered.
7)
The judge’s decision is final.
The winner of each category is the fastest person to open their
respective colour REVOMAZE and goes into the final along with the Series
Code winner to find the overall winner.
The overall winner of the REVOMAZE Puzzle Challenge will be the fastest
to open the Special Edition REVOMAZE Purple
with a simultaneous live video link between both venues. Contestants keep their puzzle
at the end of the challenge.
All contestants will receive a Special Edition medal and certificate.
